Community Woodlands Study – You’re Invited…

Posted on 12th February 2010 by

The Small Woods Association has been commissioned by Forest Research (part of the Forestry Commission) to study the community woodland sector across England.

Small Woods is a UK wide charity that encourages the sustainable management of small woodlands for economic, biodiversity and social benefits.

The new study aims to learn more about the structure, funding, tenure, management objectives and future support needs of community woodland groups. To find out more about previous studies that have been carried out in this area please follow this link.

Small Woods are currently trying to increase their database of community woodland groups to establish a better understanding of the size of the sector.  If you would like to be considered for involvement in the new study please email your group name, contact details, email address and contact phone number to philtidey@smallwoods.org.uk. All information provided will be treated confidentially.
