As the facilitator working on this project with Juile and the rest of the group in Litton, it's been both rewarding and challenging. They are so full of enthusiasm for the project and determined to get this playground for their children (and other local children, obviously) up and running, that it's a pleasure to work with them.

But they've had to contend with all sorts of problems, not least of all the weather and a steeply sloping site. Interestingly enough, in their early consultation they found local people still wanted to use the hill as a sledging hill, so had to position equipment to allow for that. So, even if the playground didn't open and launch on the original date, at least they could all still go sledging!

Keep up the good work in Litton folks - we'll get there soon.

Thank-you Wendy, for your kind words of support. It has been really hard work, but is worth it in the end! We can't wait for our Launch event.

I am delighted to see how funding from the Community Spaces programme has enabled a group of committed mums to get the playground they need for their community. I wish you every success with your launch.
